So we were almost 100% sure that the BlackBerry Pearl was coming to T-Mobile users on Tuesday, September 12th (199 USD with a two-year agreement, 399 without). That’s no big deal. However, we hadn’t before heard much word about when it would be released on other carriers. RIM and Canadian carrier Rogers officially announced today that the BlackBerry Pearl will be coming to Canadian shores in October, well before any other US carrier gets it (most likely due to exclusivity deals). While they don’t have a specific date for launch in their press release, BBHub is saying October 26th. We’ll hopefully have more for you on this by the end of the day.

Oh, sweet day, you have finally come. For those of you tired of all the Pearl coverage on BlackBerry Cool, you might as well not come back today: RIM has officially announced the BlackBerry Pearl!

Through the integration of hardware, software and service, we are able to deliver a mobile experience that stands apart in the industry. The DigiTimes is reporting that RIM has teamed with Taiwan Mobile to bring BlackBerry services to Taiwan. Norm Lo, vice president for Asia-Pacific at RIM, refused to comment on whether the contract between the two companies entitled Taiwan Mobile to exclusive BlackBerry rights in Taiwan, but did say that RIM currently has no plans to establish ties with other Taiwan telecom companies.
We should expect to hear some details on device announcements shortly.
