An iPhone tangled with an 18-wheeler and came out only slightly worse for wear, reports PDAStreet.
A user in Kansas left his iPhone on the back of his car when he pulled out of a gas station. When he realized his mistake and started backtracking to get it back, he found it just in time to watch an 18 wheel semi run over it at 70 MPH. The phone didn’t escape entirely unscathed — the rear was cracked, exposing circuitry, and the screen has a few small dead areas on it, although they still respond to touch — but key features still work perfectly. Making and receiving calls, Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity, even the camera all function as they did before.
Complete dumb luck? Or is the iPhone simply incredibly rugged?
